The idea behind veld schools was to take the city children into the clean air and let them live a controlled adventure outside of their comfort zones. It's only later, in hindsight, that I noticed the agenda that was being serviced by adults I was supposed to trust. In this episode, Les and I take a look back at those days in the bush and how authority tried its best to wash a few brains.
