Episode 5 - Encyclopedic Cemedica Geekery with Alyn Adams

After surviving a Catholic education and a Durban upbringing, Alyn Adams has been cracking up some crowds (and mystifying others) with his quirky, thoughtful stand-up since 1994. His Whacked.co.za profile calls him a bookish leftie and a harassed single parent. His off-the-wall, intellectual spin on the most mundane human behaviour is always original and refreshing; at least, that's what he claims. He has written a weekly humour column called Headspace in KZN weekly the Sunday Tribune for 12 years, and has had regular columns published in the Mail & Guardian Online and Your Baby and Afropolitan magazines. He won the inaugural Times Comic Pen Award at the 2012 South African Comics' Choice Awards for a Headspace column about his cats, which did not impress his dogs at all.

We talk improv-comedy skills, who you should not go on holidays with... and we discover when exactly is the right time to kill a king (SPOILER – you should do it in time to miss the evening papers).
